چکیده

We propose a new method of canceling the fixed-pattern noise of CMOS activepixel image sensors caused by the threshold mismatch of MOS FETs in pixel circuits. This method uses with non-destructive intermediate readout circuitry. Assuming a TSMC 0.25-μm mixed-signal process, we designed a CMOS image sensor in which the canceling circuit was implemented for each column of the pixel-sensor array. Simulation results revealed that threshold mismatch of O(10−1) V could be reduced to O(10−4) V within a settling time of O(10−7) s.

New Method for Analysis of image sensor to produce and evaluate the image

In this paper, a new method for evaluating CMOS image sensors based on computer modeling and analysis is introduced. Image sensors are composed of different parts, each of which has a specific effect on image quality. Circuits of image sensors can be evaluated and analyzed using circuit simulators or theoretically, but these methods cannot help to produce the final image. In order to produce th...

Photocurrent Estimation from Multiple Non-destructive Samples in a CMOS Image Sensor

CMOS image sensors generally su er from lower dynamic range than CCDs due to their higher readout noise. Their high speed readout capability and the potential of integrating memory and signal processing with the sensor on the same chip, open up many possibilities for enhancing their dynamic range. Earlier work have demonstrated the use of multiple non-destructive samples to enhance dynamic rang...
